You connect the switch to the screw mark run/program and then to the third screw over, common. If you view the instructions for the cruise commander you will see they are basically the same.

AAMOF, the Cruise Commander and Cruise Commander Lite have exactly the same pinouts for all the connections.  There is a connector instead of a terminal block for the motor and power, the leads are in the same locations as the old terminal block.  The RS connector is a 1.5mm one instead of the old 2.54mm connector, again with the same pinouts.

One bonus is that the CC Lite has a logic signal on pin 3 of the RS connector for whistle like the AC and DC Commander do.  The original CC does not have that signal.

Would you know what the difference is between the R4LC and R2LC?

All of the current products from ERR that use the RxLC now use the R4LC, as the R2LC is obviously no longer produced.  It's functionally identical to the R2LC they used to use as they load the same code as the R2LC used.

My guess is that since the R4LC was designed for Legacy, the change was a processor with more memory for the expanded Legacy features.  Other than that, I can't see anything different of note between the two boards.
