We visited the NJ-HR a week ago, and I did a few tests of my Mobius 1080P camera perched on top of a LionChief + Camelback. Here are the results, it's fun to see a layout from this vantage point.

The image quality is great. I really like the video with the smoke on!!! What a cool view!
Thanks for sharing all. They were a nice interruption to a busy day.
Very Cool Gunner!
Chief Bob (Retired)
that was fun..thought i saw someone walking in the background with a rifle
That was very cool. Fantastic layout.
Love it!
Peter
That camera gives a nice "wide angle" view from the engine, which makes the shots going around a curve look great.
Glad you folks liked it, it was a fun day. I could hang around there every weekend if it weren't so far away.
Thanks for the ride. Great video clarity.
It has become clear to me that I live in the wrong part of the country. All the cool train stuff is East. Other than what's near Detroit, it's dead.
Really nice John. It looks like this lens is not wide angle, more straight ahead.
Very cool John Here is a video I took with my Mobius at my other layout

Nice Ben, I see it has a strong subway influence.
John. nice job.
Or nice fun day I should say
That is some very nice views of the clubs layout. Who ever the members are should be proud of all the work it obviously takes to keep that layout looking so good.

Nice train ride, WOW seems like I am there in person. You da MAN, GUNS!!!
That layout is on mt bucket list of things to see....
Great video. Thanks for posting, John.
John,
Great movies, thanks for doing that!
I was eager to get a real test for my Mobius camera, and I couldn't imagine a better place to test it. I only regret that I didn't run it on a couple more routes.
This is awesome! Imagine Lionel started making engines with built in cameras in the headlights along with glasses/goggles you could wear in real time to see your train going around your layout. That would be pretty cool!
Simply outstanding!!
Thanks for sharing these great videos.

John
great videos !!! of one of the best layouts in the country !!!
Thanks, Alex
Awesome! Thanks John.
Really neat videos John and thanks for sharing. It was great to have you and the other North Penn guys at the layout for a day of fun. And for Vinny's cooking, which is always a highlight at our place. I know that I had a great time and totally enjoyed the day.

Great videos John. Thanks for posting. Fantastic layout.
Thanks for the tour. Nothing like that near us in NH. Could watch this several times and not pick up all the scenes.
Beautiful!
Great videos John; thanks for posting!
Sure makes me wish I lived in a part of the world where there is enough O gauge interest to support a club and a large layout. Unfortunately out west here is an O gauge wasteland.
It was neat to see the various small wrinkles and kinks in the track work, as well as the vast array of bridges and other scenery used on the layout. Love it.
Rod
Thanks guys, When watching the videos, I saw lots of details you'd never notice from the sidelines, it was very neat to see it from that perspective.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the videos John! Very neat perspective indeed! I wondered what it would look like with he smoke turned on, and you showed us!
Ben, You must feel like a mole underground so long then coming up to the bright light! Thanks for the neat video as well!

Nice tour. A most amazing recreation of the prototype.
Great stuff, great clarity. Nothing like having an engineer's view of the surroundings. Reality at its best!

Very cool. I felt like I was still living in Chicago and riding the 'L' to work.
John,
Nicely done. I will reach out to you as I have a few questions to ask. Is your email in your profile?
Kevin
Ben - AWESOME

Yep, it's always been there.
Now that I've been to the NJ-HR layout a few times, I'd like to visit Ben's 1:1 layout next. Maybe I can run a subway around for a few laps!
