OK, 054 is 16/circle and 045 is 12. Assuming from your question that you're trying to make a 90 degree turn 054 would take 4, and 045 would take 3.
Current production Atlas switches, I've heard good things about them. If it's old used stuff, as a beginner, I'd suggest you leave them alone.
Gilly
FWIW, For my layout I've just about finished selling-off all my NIB FasTrack and will be switching to Gargraves w/ Ross switches..
After using several different three rail track products I came back to Ross / Gargraves.
Cool, they seem good also
Thanks, email me at blount_miles@yahoo.com
Oh ok, thanks, but I'm not using big engines, I'm just using subway cars for now
Thanks, hit the nail on the head Pelham, that's exactly what I wanted to use
Thanks, I may have to expand a little, may use them for the outer tracks
Ok, thanks for the advice
Pelham you may also want to look into using Atlas 40" nickel/steel CUSTOM FLEX TRACK-WOOD TIES. I'm a big fan of flex track be it Atlas or Gar Graves. It's a lot more forgiving on curves especially if you want something that not a stock rigid curve.
Oh ok, thanks! I figured that, because the subways here turn a lot
IF U JUST GUNA RUN SUBWAYS,U CAN GO WIYH 031.WORKS 4 ME.
