Might anyone have the pinouts for the Lionel DCDS-J Odyssey speed control motor driver board?
Thanks!

GRJ,
Thanks, but I've got that one.
I was hoping to learn about the 10-pin connector on the side, as well as the six-pin connector that was added to later boards.

The 10-pin powers markers in some locomotives, as well as that serial data connection. The six-pin is a factory programming jumper for the PIC debugger, you won't be using that one. I'd fool around with some LED's and a 1K series resistor, you may be able to dope out which ones are LED drives.
If you look closely they should be marked, but you have a Serial data in, one out for RS, and alternating +5V and ground for LEDs. The issue is that the 5V source is not strong, so be careful what you attach to it. G
I wouldn't attach anything but LED's to the marker outputs. I believe they're actually current limited as they usually connect directly to LED's with no current limiting.
The markings are:
+Serial/Duty/Cab/3RD/Mark/D1/Gnd/D2/Gnd
The odd part is there are 10 pins and only nine titles, I'm thinking that the +Serial spans two pins, but that's just a guess.
No the serial and duty are next to each other, most likely another Ground for the Marker. G
The markings are so tiny that I'm not sure. I've never had the desire to do anything but plug one in. Truthfully, when I looked at the first one, the silkscreen was just a white line off the edge, so I didn't realize they actually labeled those pins.
On the 10 pin, pins 4-6-8-10 are grounds.
I probably could have used my meter to determine that, thanks Marty.
I'm curious, there are seven "signals" mentioned, but if four pins are ground, the signal names appear to be incorrect.
John, that was a FYI, remember the rest of us are not as smart as you.
Well, if I were so smart, I'd know why there are seemingly seven signals indicated, and only six active pins!
John, just having fun with you. I do read everything you report on. I have a few guys I read every day and I learn a few things. I want to be nice to you as I know you are good for a beer at York.
Marty, I'll be good for at least two.
Sounds good John.
Dear John
My two cents. I have give a least a case if not two of what beer you like. You tell me when you are going to be in the NY City area and what you like in beer and I will make it happen.
Well, for sure the next NJ-HR Trainstock.
Thank you guys, I will sort through your offerings and see what I can achieve.
I live a long way from NY, in Australia, so I will have to buy my own beer. My work took me to NY each year. I worked for Cooper Tools and I guess you will know the name.
