I am one of the module chairpersons for the Rocky Mountain Division. Our current layout, circa 1995, has been partially rewired twice and has had numerous fixes by well intended helpers. Our latest changes were to switch to the electronics that will be used on our new modules, this includes Conventional (ZW), TMCC / Legacy and our latest upgrade DCS (Bricks). We are currently set-up at a food and gift show (will post pix later) Okay so now to the heart of the story. On the way home from my day job I stopped by the show to wrap up some scenery fixes and lay out some catalogs for giving away to visitors (show opens today 11/02/2012). Well I could tell something was amiss the TIU was moved and some electronics had been moved around. Turns out one of our members wanted to get set-up for todays running early.. no problem I encourage that in fact. But when his loco did not fire up he putzed around a bit and well... After determining it was a DCS Loco I ensured the TIU  was connected to that loop (we have 3). Then I RTFM.. umm read the freaking manual.. okay I went to the index found the quick start-up page 14? anyway 1. Find TIU / Output 2. Set voltage 3. Find locomotive and Move out . Our layout is 18 by 34.
