I have a question regarding an issue I'm having with the DCS Commander Controller, 50-1028. Upon adding engines, momentum will turn itself on, the M will show in the corner of the screen, and after that I'm unable to add the engine I'm trying to put into the controller's memory. I unplugged the unit and let it sit for several hours, and that seemed to fix it for a while, and was able to successfully add 9 locomotives. Then when I tried to add a 10th one, the M reappeared and I was unable to continue. Does anyone know what this issue could be, and how to go about fixing it?

Did you try a system reset on your DCS Commander?
This will mean starting over adding engines.

Yes, I did a full reset and added 9 engines successfully, but then the Momentum came up while trying to add a tenth one, and I can’t proceed past that point.
You already did reset to defaults so, back to basics:
#1 ensure your device has the latest firmware. Sadly, because this device is way, way, way, way, way, way, way unsupported, that last version is quite old. https://mthtrains.com/dcs-software-downloads
Version 1.4 released 2011
#2 even if up to date, you can reflash the firmware
#3 possible the membrane style keypad needs cleaned or has something under it causing an inadvertent button press. Requires taking the unit apart. Replacement keypad is NOT available.
#4 At that point, if you did the basics- all that is left is total and complete replacement.
