I think I've used it in the past but could be wrong. That said, I have to ask why? Every sound file can be had when you look up the engines, let's say that you want to edit a custom one- then start from the factory file downloaded under support for that engine, not one pulled from the engine. The reason I say this is the process can be slow- 40 minutes plus depending on how good your programming track is talking to an engine and ensuring you are using a USB based Rev L TIU. The slower serial based versions are slower in my testing, so even more time and even more prone to error. Again, this concept of backing up and engine just in case- not the best in practice. Just grab the files straight from MTH.
I am working with two of the same model Standard Gauge engines, each are different liveries, one with freight sounds the other passenger. They are both Proto 2. I want to upload the passenger sounds and download the file to the other engine so both have passenger sounds.
I can’t find the same passenger sound file online for this engine, that’s why I want to be able to upload what I have, save it, and then download it to the other loco. Plus, I want to upload and save the freight sounds in case I want to go back to them later if I want to.
