DCS Remote Commander Question | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

When using this device in "Passive Mode" will the power indicator light? I want to attach it to the LHS's test track so when I factory reset an engine for use with a Remote Commander I can easily test it before sending it home. Seems when I tried this last year I didn't see the light but again that was a year ago. Just want to confirm so I can quickly attach it via alligator clips on the conventional section and do my testing.

I looked in the DCS 3rd edition but it didn't directly state the LED would illuminate.

I haven't used mine for some time now, but if I recall correctly, the lamp flickers when the receiver sees the IR signal.
