I have the most recent updated DCS App on my Android phone, and I updated my TIU to 6.1.

The problem I'm running into is whenever I create a lash-up it works fine for that session but when I restart my TIU and WIU the lash-up goes into inactive and the 2 engines in the lash-up become active with their unique entries.

At this point I thought I could just inactivate both of those engines and reactivate the lash-up, but it gives me no button to move to active. As you can see below SFE E-8 #83 and 84 are both inactive, but the lash-up (Santa Fe - Super Chief) can't be edited.

Thank you Gary, the lash-up didn't seem to respond to any kind of touch, but you gave me an idea. I decided to add #83 and #84 to the active list and then bingo the lash-up become clickable and I activated it and inactivated the two separate engines. Then after a reboot the lash-up stayed active.

Have no idea why this worked, but it's working!

Matt,

You may find the following from page 63 of The DCS WiFi Companion 1st Edition useful.DCS WiFi Companion BB 5.31

DCS engines, TMCC engines and Legacy engines all move the same way, as do their respective lashups.

We'll be improving the active/inactive behavior in both the Android and iOS versions of the app.  There are other related behaviors that can be enhanced as well.  For example, if you hit refresh (circle arrow upper left of main control screen) and the engine you are running has been removed from the track it will remain as the "selected" engine with the words (inactive) next to it.  This is true even if there are other engines in the active list.  Why not move an engine from the active list to the main control screen automatically.  Even if this isn't the engine you intend to run, it's better to see the refresh worked and there are active engines on the layout.  Either way, you have to select a valid active engine so, why not just put one there?

This and other "UX" (user experience) improvements will be made and distributed via updates.  We've been really busy on the DCS Explorer and new starter set app over the last 6 months so, we haven't spent much time on the main DCS app.  It's time to turn some of our attention there.
