DCS WIFI potential for crash

Welcome to the app Ed. The hair raising max speed I'm sure has gotten all users at some point. Another good Idea is turn on the Emergency Stop button that appears below the bell button. I used that one tonight!

Yes, this is very annoying. You never know when something will race off. Take your eyes off the screen for a second and oops you are done. It is especially tough when using the app to control Legacy engines because you can’t  set a maximum speed for Legacy. I brought this issue up with MTH over a year ago. They are aware of it but there have been no updates to correct the issue so far. Come to think of it, there haven’t been any updates in a long long time. 

Set your max speed when you start the engine up.  Will prevent run aways.

Haha, yep, happened to me too last week. Definitely set the max speed to avoid the "jack rabbit starts".

Next project is to  figure out how to get the E-stop button to show on the screen. Must admit I like the WIFI app. I had been very resistant to trying it because I like the hand held a lot. With Covid in the air I have had time to "experiment" and have enjoyed the challenge. Not quite ready to give up the hand held yet but am looking forward to more time with the WIFI.

Go to "More" at the bottom of your screen.

Advanced Features>System Settings>Hide E-Stop Button

Wondering about the Max engine speed lock. Is there away to set up the system so that every time it is turned on the maximum speed is 60? Perhaps each engine could be set for a maximum speed that stays with the engine.
