Deaths of John Ridley and Pierce Carlson

I have the sad duty to report the deaths of John Ridley and Pierce Carlson, both longtime collectors and tinplate toy train experts. I first met John Ridley in Rugby back around 1990. He was a wonderful friend. Unfortunately during the past few years he suffered from severe dementia.

Pierce authored the well known Toy Trains: A History. He was truly one of the experts of toy train collecting.
