I have been pulling engines out of storage and replacing original batteries with BCR and BCR2. A recent thread mentioned speaker delamination and showed photos. I assume these two photos show that same problem. I haven't had problems replacing the batteries, but, if the appropriate course of action is speaker replacement----then I don't feel qualified for that task.

Can one of our very helpful repair people confirm my problem? Also, is the next logical step to replace the speakers? The engines in question are 20-3092-1 (N&W 2-8-8-2) and 20-3064-1 (L&N 2-8-4). I think these are my only two older engines. The BCR2 replacement in my other engines has gone smoothly.
