There used to be website dedicated to Frank Ellison and his Delta Lines layout.

I just did some Google searching and could not find it. Anybody know what happened to it?

Also- Does anybody know where I might find either of Weaver's Delta Lines boxcars?

Thanks in advance.

In my Yahoo groups there is a site for the Delta Lines. Not sure but I think the moderator is H.Spanier. It is still active but not as much as when it first started. As to the cars, with Weaver now out of business the only way you may find one would be use the WTB on this forum or search the internet for hobby shops that still may have them. That is harder then finding a needle in a haystack. A lot of the hobby shops don't have web pages listing their inventories.........................Paul

Here's the link to the Friends of the Delta Lines Yahoo Group (or as I call them the Disciples of Ellison). A lot of interesting stuff has been posted there over the years. Weaver produced a Delta Lines Box Car (long sold out). Unfortunately I missed out but did see a couple pop up on eBay for exhorbitant prices.

HUDSON J1E,

Any chance you could post a picture of those two cars?

I'd like to print them out so I could show them to dealers at the Big E show in Springfield on the 30th.

Thank you

Sure no problem Rich, but I am not home right now. I will post them later on today or tomorrow morning. LOL, if I had only known I would bought a case of them!

I have a Delta Lines boxcar produced by the NMRA.  I found it in an antique shop in Albuquerque years ago.  I'm not sure if the NMRA produced the entire kit, or just the printed sides.  Whoever built the kit I have did a nice job and I'm glad to have it.  It hasn't been too long (a few years) since the NMRA was still selling the sides.  You might check to see if they're still available. Frank's Delta Lines and the Centinella Valley of Lee Ridgeman were two of the great early model railroads.  Frank and Lee, in my opinion, brought the concept of model railroad operation into the hobby.  (I also own an original car from the Centinella Valley).

For those looking for information on Frank Ellisons Delta Lines; I have scratchbuilt/recreated much of the original layout (but in three rail), including Three Bridge River Gorge, Donaldson, Ginia, Raymondale, the Nuriya coal mine,  and the Carrolton Viaduct. After the remaining 10% is completed this season. I hope to interest OGR in an article in 2016.
