I'm thinking about digging into both my Williams and Sunset GE 44-tonners and would like to install Proto-3 if it's available for smaller scales. The current draw on both locomotives is low enough that through some careful work an H.O. or S scale decoder should work. Anyone know if the smaller-scale Proto-3 kits are available?

MTH 44-tonner is due in May (for now). Supposedly according to old rumor, it will have a smaller board.
I was told by MTH that the HO kit would probably be overloaded by an O-gauge Docksider
I do not think there is an HO or S kit. S engines still have not hit the market. G
I would like to see one to find out if it will fit into a Trackmobile!
You're correct on both counts, GGG. I shouldn't have called the HO unit a kit; I was thinking in terms of purloining one from an HO loco.
Matt,
You might be able to pick up a starter set engine pretty cheap and gut it for HO. A service center can purchase boards but not wire harnesses. MTH also makes an AC HO board but they are not robust enough to run O scale.
My Rich Yoder 44 tonner is a combination of HO and O PS3 parts.
