You are most welcome. Sorry I didn't have more to offer.

Engineer-Joe has been at this a lot longer than I have and he's much better at fixing these things. You are in very good hands.

That maybe true but it doesn't mean much if I didn't learn all the while. There are many here right now (and in the past) that are much better problem solvers.

The best solves have come when several people look at the issue from different angles. The best thing is when a poster follows up on what's suggested.

I look forward to any post you make to help me learn more about electrical stuff.

I think you do a great job of helping folks here and have learned a lot. You have lots experience and good tips for everyone to learn from and help in solving their problems. And you do a great job of explaining this stuff. I try to follow all of your posts on DCS problems too as well as others.

Thank you, you are too kind and I'm humbled by your comments, but certainly not worthy! I struggle to follow along with a lot of the electronics posts around here, but I enjoy them all regardless. About everything I have learned has been here on the forum from folks like GRJ, Stan2004 and Adrian! among others. Those are the folks to really pay attention to! They are also great help when you get stuck while trying to do something electronically.

I certainly agree that the folks following the assistance and advice given here are the most satisfying to help.

I think I have closure, somewhat.  I took the engine to Chicagoland Hobby's to test it out.

We tried to get it to add off their DCS remote - couldn't find it the engine.

Didn't try the Wi-Fi since we couldn't add to their DCS

We tried to get it  run in conventional - at first it didn't start up then it did.

The guy at the shop - very helpful suggested it might be a board when I basically summarized this thread.

Next stop, @MrMuffin'sTrains where I purchased it from.
