I was swimming around online, the other day, looking for stuff on SD40's; and, I came upon a post, I believe it was on the Atlas O forum, in 2004 or 5 - re: a request asking Atlas O, to build a SD40. A few well know names here, were involved...
It was sort of weird seeing that, considering I own an Atlas O CP SD40. Back then, the Atlas O guy seemed to like the idea, along with the other proponents. I guess I owe you guys my gratitude, for getting the ball rolling.

I guess what struck me about finding that old thread, or whatever it was, was the level of life in it's content: it was eager and optimistic. Nothing was set in stone, just some expressed wishes...
I've occasionally wondered about some of the most sought after models... after some has passed, since their arrival. Do people still have the same intense admiration, or is it...been there, done that, next?

I always liked looking over the old threads. I also love to look at the old video's of my clubs layout. Both show you just how much has changed in a short period of time

I remember you digging up old threads, on the other forum. We've become accustomed, to the relatively fast pace of the O gauge world; having another look, at a later date, can be interesting.
I still like that tour of the New York area you gave me... years ago.
