I am aware that the tender has a speaker for sound, but was wonderring if the Engine also has sound?

As I do not have this engine my guess since it is not a Vision Line engine it would not have a speaker in the engine. You could know for sure by going to Lionel’s parts and checking the diagrams.

I think the dual sound systems were mostly for Legacy, but the 2031700 Big Boy First Edition had the dual sound system, and it wasn't marketed as Vision Line. I don't remember any other non-vision line models with the dual sound system.

Most of the 2021 models are not on the parts site yet, so that is probably not an option.
