All,

Does anyone have access to the wiring diagram for Lionel American Flyer U33C 6-48187? (or similar) Also, other than the smoke unit's 16ohm resistor, are there any differences between the smoke unit that originally came with this loco (S gauge) and a Lionel O gauge fan-driven smoke unit? Obviously dimensions are different. Wiring connections/plugs I'm not concerned with. I'm pretty confident I can use a different Lionel fan driven smoke unit and just swap out the resistor to a 16ohm resistor. But if anyone knows otherwise, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

Check out the work Bruk's did documenting the Legacy boards, your engine has the BEMC & RSLITE:

Thanks Jim. I already downloaded and printed Bruk’s drawings beforehand which were a big help. They don’t have specific loco wiring though (marker lights, ditch lights, headlights, etc.). More specifically, his drawings do show these BUT I don’t know if the board is programmed to run oscillating ditch lights and such.  I figured the lighting out through the process of deduction. It appears the “ditch light” output is constant on, not oscillating. I wonder if there’s a way to reset the code to get the ditch lights to function like you can with TMCC R2LC boards? Also, I ended up using a PS3 smoke unit and removed one of the 16ohm resistors (was 8ohms (2-16ohm resistors in parallel))  to give me 16ohms to be compatible with the legacy board’s smoke output. Everything is working well. Now it’s time to put it into my VO1000 project. We’ll see how it goes!

Thanks again,

Dan

  Good morning Dan,

  I'm looking for the Lionel Legacy LED voltage and wattages for my SD-70ACe, and found a Lionel Service Page that has roughly four hundred product electrical diagrams including mine. There are multiple pages of 25, indexed on the bottom of the page;

  Best of Luck,

Carl,

This is perfect. Thanks!
