Does anyone know something about Postwar Set 1463c | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi All

I came across this set and I can’t find any info on it. It looks like it has the same cars and locomotive as the 1463w I found in Greenberg’s but I can’t find any info on 1463c. Any ideas? Thanks as always!

Couldn't fine anything in the Doyle or Greenberg books....or online....

1463w was in the 1950 catalog.

1463ws was in the 1951 catalog.

The contents were similar. The box looks more like a 1950 box than a 1951 just based on pictures......but that's not hard data.

I couldn't find anything on the "c" determination......could it mean Canada? Was the electrical service the same as the US at that time? Was it different warranting a change in the transformer?

I'll be interested in what others know.....

The W usually met the set had a whistle tender. Just guessing here that the 1463C didn't have a whistle.

Canadian specials usually had an "X" suffix. I have a Canadian 100 watt transformer that is a Type RX. It was designed to run on 25 cycle current.
