There’s some great Dorfan on eBay right now (not mine). Even a crane car is listed. I just finished a set, and I’m tempted to buy more in the great condition listed.
Let’s hear your thoughts about Dorfan.

I have quite a few pieces and a dozen or so boxed sets. Unique stuff with great lithography.
Steve
The O gauge Dorfan is great stuff and the lithography is amazing. Running engines are hard to come by but Steve and I have created several ways around that issue for the O gauge. Steve and I have had a couple of Dorfan show and tell days where the only non Dorfan part in O gauge were the wires from the Dorfan transformer to the Dorfan track lock on.
Standard Gauge, in Dorfan speak, Wide Gauge freight is amazing in the detail and the lithography. Repro engines can be found.
Passenger cars in both narrow gauge and wide gauge are the only ones that I know of that have people in the windows.
I have no Dorfan
But I do have Fandor
I have a few O Gauge pieces. I wish they had made an O Gauge version of this beautiful caboose.
Dave,
Not enough color in the O gauge caboose for you?
I agree with you that the Wide Gauge freights are very colorful. One of these days I might have to add a few pieces to the Northwoods Flyer Collection.

Here is my current roster of Dorfan: (black trucks and brass journals)
Black trucks with no journals:
And a passenger set
Matched up with an American Flyer steam engine
With all of this interest in Dorfan its no wonder that I can't find any examples in better condition. The hunt is at least half of the fun.

The 610 crane currently being offered is in pretty good shape and you can never have too many.......
There are actually three different cranes available and a caboose with automatic couplers. There are a bunch of the freight cars too.
