recently acquired a vintage   Dorfan 410 bridge in ok condition, no end ramps but still intact, not bent up certainly useable

however, after cleaning of a dirty rail it remains worn and still somewhat corroded I assume.

the issue is no electricity will pass through the rails!  Looks like the rail is 027 size.

so I have an inquiry. Is there someone on the forum that has had any experience with possible replacement of the track on this prewar type 410?

The track appears to be part of the base!  I would be willing to attempt excision  of dead track, a delicate maneuver so it seems.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

thank you, Leroof.

The individual track rails can be removed from the ties that are mounted to the bridge. What is the reason the track does not appear to have connectivity? Have you tried sanding or rust removal from the inside of the rails where the pins connect? I would pull all the pins and use a round file to remove the corrosion and I think that should get the track working without having to remove the rails from the ties.
