Looking at copy of a Dorfan catalog and see the 552/0 and 552/1 display layouts. Any one see one, have pictures etc. I don't have room, but it would be fun to make a reasonable reproduction. I'd love to see pictures of a real one.

Probably all fell apart due to the famous Dorfan Wood pest.
Did they include the jumbo 3920 loco?
I was unaware that Dorfan had display layouts - thanks for the info.
Is that Dorfan catalog available online? Do you have a link?
I googled it, and nothing worthwhile popped up.
I would rather find one of the American Flyer O gauge layouts as pictured in the 1923-1924 catalogs. I saw a photo of one, once and it needed restoration. Have never seen one in person or one for sale.

The catalogue just has a listing, no photos? I wonder if they were ever produced. I am a particular fan of prewar display layouts and would love to see one.

Nothing on line that I’m aware of. I bought a bunch of Dorfan catalogs, mostly copies and saw this. Hopefully I will have time to scan and post a picture later today.

Here is a photo of the ad showing the various layouts offered. The layout in the upper left was dual gauge, the other two came as either O or wide gauge.

Ha. If I find an original I'll build an addition on the house !
For $110, I'll take TWO!
Has anyone here seen the old movie clip of kids dropping and tossing Dorfan locos to the ground to show how sturdy they were?
As I recall, the kids were playing outside in a sand box or over dirt and they were purposely dropping the locos.
Here's a different movie. The Dorfan starts about 3:328.
