I have the Lionel double signal bridge with plug and play accessory activator track. It will only show red signal. Tried both sides. I believe the activator track is working because the red LED on the activator track lights up when the train goes over the isolator pieces and then goes off when the train leaves. But there is no reaction on the signal tower it just stays red on, no change. The red is on as soon as the track power is lit. Any ideas where I start troubleshooting this?

I believe @Arnold D. Cribari is the expert on this one!
Bruce, I'm not sure of the answer because I had the problem in reverse.
In other words, my green LED was fine. However, when the train entered the isolated outside rail block that I created to activate the red LED, the green LED went out like it should, but the red LED would not come on.
The accessory worked fine for the first 2 or 3 weeks after I bought it from my LHS, then the red LED stopped working.
Here are my thoughts for what they're worth. I would check to make sure the wiring to the activation device and the transformer/power source is correct. My modern Lionel Double Signal Bridge with LEDs came with very good, user friendly, instructions and wiring diagram.
I solved my problem by ordering a part from the Lionel parts website. I think the website is: lionel.support.com. It cost $12 plus shipping and I received it within a few days.
The part I ordered consisted of a little circuit board with a green LED and a red LED attached to it and wire leads.
If SouthernServesTheSouth has wired the accessory correctly and it still doesn't work properly, then ordering that part might be the answer.
If the accessory is under warranty, that might solve his problem free of charge.

Arnold,
IMHO you gave a solid answer! Regardless of the problem being red or green, maybe there is a fundamental manufacturing or quality issue with that little board. I have the older Lionel bridge. I was able to greatly improve its brightness and reliability by replacing the incandescent bulbs with color LED's from Town Country Hobbies.
Well, I figured it out. Somewhat embarrassed to admit the problem but I want to resolve the thread. I had the activators tracks oriented backwards to the plug n play port. The port must be on the opposite rail as the breaks in the activator track. Whoops!
That's great that you figured it out. Now if you edit your title to add "solved", you may help someone else searching for a solution for the same problem.
