It's true!    Down by the river I shot my baby (the bridge)...with a camera!

I have spent the better part of the last two days on the Ohio River. Yesterday, the backdrop photographer and I scouted east and west shore locations for landscape shots. I think he got some pretty good stuff. Below are some shots from the River Route in the area of the Steubenville marina.

I managed to capture a train on the River Route (southbound).

Today, I got some great shots (these are really bucket list photos I wanted to get) of the bridge from the river.  A cousin graciously offered to take me and the photographer on a 2 hour tour.  There were no shipwrecks, just a very useful photographic expedition.  The weather was perfect!!!  I think the photographer got some great shots, which I can't wait to see.

When you own an island (Brown's Island) and you need to get back and forth quickly, what do you do?

Why you put up your own bridge of course!  That's what Weirton Steel did when they constructed a coke plant there in the late 1960's.

Now, I really want to know how the tow boat captain got his ship up there.  Don't you?
