Now I don't get any response, even though my remote is beeping. It has fresh batteries. I don't even see if I can open it up and look for anything broken. Can you fix these things if you can do ERR upgrades, for example?
It's about 6 years old. Like i feel right about now!

The 6 screws are hidden under the rubber feet.
Do you have a green light when power is applied to the Base?
Thanks, Dale, for your replies. I am getting the green power light, the ground from the track is connected, and I have 18vac applied.

There is no 18VAC for a Command Base. You aren't talking about a Powermaster, are you? That would have 18V applied on the 3-pin plug.
Verify that the crystal is well seated.
Well THE FEET on the base were fun to remove!!! But I got it open and the 3-pin connector was a little loose and the crystal needed to be reseated. Just like you said, Dale
