Rod, the attached spreadsheet with the BOM is what I have. I don't have Digikey numbers, but you can search them on the manufacturer's part numbers.

Great thanks John; that will help a bunch!

I haven't ordered the parts yet but a few months back I looked up the numbers and prices. I was considering how many extra parts to buy over what I need for two boards - that is the "buy" column.

In case it may help others I have attached a revised version of grj's BOM for the Smart Motherboards, but I have added a column with all the Digikey PN's at the far right. Also in this version you stick in the quantity you think you may want to build at the top, and it shows you the minimum number of each part you need to order. My order column in some cases shows larger quantities I ordered, only because in some cases the quantity discounts were appealing, or for some passive components quantities of 100 are dirt cheap, so why not?
Also note the price column reflects Canadian $ prices since Digikey up here lists prices that way. Also note I have included the board cost at the bottom, which is $15.70 USD per lot of 3 from OSH Park. I only ordered 3 boards for now just to see how it goes.

Here's the spreadsheet with a Canadian/US currency conversion feature and a column for US prices. Just plug in the exchange rate, should get you pretty close.
