I'm putting together a shopping list for Mousers electronic parts and wonder if I need anything else. I'm trying to get enough parts to finish several ERR conversions and need to get resistors to do the lights. Here's my list so far...

100, 330,470,510 resistors 1/2 watt....these  show up in several schematics, are there any other useful ones to have?

1 UF  50v capacitor for coupler issues

white & green leds for headlights and class lites

I have Transient Voltage Suppressors from a previous order and have wire and shrink tubing

Any thing else I should get ?

I'd order mostly 1/4W resistors, I rarely use 1/2W ones, and they're larger as well.  I like to keep 1K and 2.2K resistors around as well.

A cheap way to do resistors is to buy a kit

600 Pcs 30 Values 1/4W 1% Metal Film Resistors Resistance Assortment Kit Set US, eBay: 391808998658, $6.75 shipped.

You get twenty of each value, as you use them, you just replace the values you're running low on.  That way you always have the correct value resistor around when you need it.

You'll pay tons more at Digikey or Mouser for stuff like LED's, I buy those in quantity for a few cents each.  Also, flangeless LED's are very useful to replace 3mm bulbs, saves the trouble of filing off the flange if it has to fit where the 3mm bulb went.  Don't forget 2mm tower LED's for smaller markers.
