EMD E Units VS F Units Size

Hi everyone, I know there will be variations, but stock factory units are what I am questioning.

What were the lengths of the E6, E7 and E9 versus the F3 and F7? I know the E units were longer but I don't know the lengths

A comparison. Weaver E8's top shelf (55", 18 1/4"approx.), Lionel F3's second shelf down (40" , 13 1/4 approx.).
