Great idea for a module.  I would take some time to mock up the track plan on the floor because I think you are far too optimistic in turnout angle.  You would want #7 or #8 switches to match the high quality of your structure modeling but each of those turnouts will be on the order of 20 or more inches long

I agree Jim pretty tight. Probably needs to be at least 15'. Thanks for the input!

Jim I drew up another sketch of the layout taking in account the issues you mentioned with the turnouts. It is still not scale, Leighton and John will likely do a working drawing in AutoCad then produce the exact dimensions

Agree with Jim that prototypical turnouts will really enhance those outstanding structures.

Thanks Chris. What size turnout do you think is best? 5 is a minimum I would say. Hand laid using the best from Right Of Way.

I was trying to catch spots were improvements could be made, but I can't find any! Outstanding through and through!

Loads of Grandt Line detail in the coaling tower. It's in serving condition and not dilapidated in any way. Our layout is 1940's 1950's and most of these things are in maintained condition.  

Erik, yes a #5 would be my minimum choice. If you run really long wheelbase engines in there you may have to adjust structure locations to suit.

I've been in a modular group before and you guys are brave if you have to transport this nice stuff around. Or are you guys going to be in a semi-permanent space?

Good point about transporting the structures. We have built crates for each one and this system works very well. Everything fits like a glove.
