Has anyone ever seen one of these? It was 'bashed in 1967 or thereabouts.

That's really neat! Anyone know of it's whereabouts now?
I don't, that is actually why I am posting. It's an odd curio that I hope survived the past 50 years.
"It's only half past twelve, but I don't care; its five o'clock somewhere." I get exactly what you mean about it being scale somewhere.
A few things come to mind here, first is the Liberty Lines Commemorative passenger cars. Liberty Lines was the maker of the 600e and complimented their line with passenger car. They wanted these cars to be slightly longer than the State car and feature a few more details. Here is one:
And then there are the Randall cars. These were started back in 1929 and saw a resurgence in the 1960's, 1970's and into the 1980's. They are cast aluminum and usually came in kit form.
The cars came in two lengths, the shorter cars were about the size of the State car at 21". The longer cars are over 27" long and look great. While still not scale sized, they present themselves very well.
Some people took to kit bashing the Randall trains into scale length cars and the results are a bit comical and unrealistic.
So, there are more scale-lengthed passenger cars out there.
