In 1956/57, Revell made several 1/48 scale vehicles.  The aforementioned truck is one and included a policeman, with a scale Harley, writing the driver a ticket.  These were repoped in the mid 90's and show up on eBay quite frequently.  I received the scale White Tanker truck, with two attendants, only yesterday.  I still have my 1957 Revell catalog but cannot say if the Buick and Ford convertible were scale or not.  I wiil look at my Pontiac Club de Mer and Cadillac Fleetwood Eldorado Brougham but expect they are larger like the stupidly expensive '57 Ford Coiuntry Squire station wagon model (not reproduced).  I am going to sell my FCS wagon I build back then!  Of course I have to build the gas truck but it'll look nice with the gas station from Mr. Muffin's Trains.

Here's to a very Merry Christmas and a trip down memory lane to our childhood hobby shops.

The Ford convertible (1956) was right at 1/32 but more 'box' scale.

Same for the Buick

The Club De Mer was 1/25.

The Fleetwood is called 1/25 but really 1/28 or so.

Sell the Ford Wagon kit ASAP.......Revell is doing a all new 57 Ford wagon kit due mid 2015.

Tonight's CBS news addressed the ending of Hess gas stations and their concentrating

on exploration.  Hess trucks have been collectible, but I don't think any of them are

O scale? (at least I have never seen one)  I only see Hess when in eastern Pa. and

they are modern trucks so I can't use.  The news item said trucks would only be

available on the net after this year.

Yeah, I had the moving van and the US Army tractor trailer with Honest John missle cargo.  I sure wish that they had survived the years!

I did get the pick up, the stake truck, and the tanker when they were repro'd in the nineties.  I asked if they were going to do the moving van, and they said the dies were not usable.
