Has anyone had any experience with either bayonet or screw in LED light bulbs you can buy via the "bay". They replace 1447, 53 and 57 bulbs? I think they could be used to replace the O gauge switch lantern bulbs.

Or if you want LED bulbs, check here:
My order arrived today, very nice! Much nicer than standard bulbs I had previously purchased on the "bay". Ones I got from the "bay" (green & red) looked like regular white bulbs that someone had painted, although they did do a nice job.
I have generally had good experiences with them. I have them in all of my tinplate passenger cars and some buildings and lights.
I have RailTrax switches. They use the Christmas bulb push in type. They get quite hot and use a fair amount of power, I have 26 switches. I made my own replacement by using an LED and a resistor. Works great and nice and cool. My only problem with LED lighting is I dont like the warmth of the color for white LEDs.
Thanks for the information.
I put the Trainaids one on my diecast Lionel bumpers and reduced power draw by quite a bit over the 20 or so used.

I have used these in all my #153 block signals and they are over three years old...

The Trainelectrics are LED bulbs also. I use these in Lionel switches and other equipment, they are nice and work well. He has a lot of different types.
They work fine with bumpers, switches, etc. but are not good for light towers - seem to glow more then transmit light onto an area.
hello guys and gals.........
do they make a MINI-screw LED bulb for my Williams NW-2 ?
