I want to bring again to this 2 rail forum the need to be able to post F/S items here for us 2 rail modelers as we really do get lost in the F/S forum. 3 railers over empower that forum and 2 railers get lost in the flood of 3 rail post. I also feel that 2 rail post don't add many new subjects weekly and so the added F/S wouldn't overpower the discussion Forum. I just don't see that much being produced/released in 2 rail and the opportunity to find a 2 rail item F/S would add to the pleasure of the hobby.

I totally disagree. You will have dealers, flea marketers, and yard sale bombarding the web site. Just list in F/S and note "2-rail" and the search engine will bring up what you want. This is a dead horse! ! ! !

Agree with Stephen here. The SEARCH feature will do anything you need.
A bit of searching will sometimes find you a gem.

The search feature is buried pretty deep. And it requires that the seller post the words you search for. To be honest, I did not even know it existed until I read this post and I have been this forum for many years.
I agree that the 3 rail posts for sale to tend occur so frequently that the 2 rail ones get pushed back to the second or third page within a day or so. It has happened to my posts.
On the other hand "O Scale Trains" magazine has for sale forum that is predominantly 2 rail. And there is a site on Yahoo called the "O Scale Yardsale" that is also almost all 2 rail. So there are other sites that might make more sense to post 2 rail items.

Greetings Jim,
The search feature is in the header (the thin strip with the dark blue background) on each page between the ads at the top and the member posts. There is an advanced feature and both are relatively easy to use.

Couldn't you list items in the for sale section then post a comment here mentioning them, seems that anyone interested in 2 rail items would check this discussion forum pretty often? If the items have much value ebay would probably be a better choice since the number of prospective buys would be much greater? ......DaveB
I have to agree with prrjim. I check "O Scale Yard Sale" daily. Joining is free and easy.
If you subscribe to O Scale Trains, you get one free submission to the Classified Section per subscription, which is to say, one per year. The rest of your submissions are not free.

O Scale trains has a forum they host also.
Well, I will now just go other places than here for 2 rail F/S items. I did try the blue box search, FS 2 rail and the newest post was from Feb. My post didn't even show. posted a week ago.
Ebay just take too big of a cut.
