"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

I was sent a file a while back of the drawings for a F40PH. Unfortunately my computer crashed and I lost them. I was going to completely scratch build this engine. So I'm doing the next best thing. I looked over the engine from Great Trains that seems to look strangely small? It has some good detailing molded into the shell. I feel it could be better. The first thing would be to figure out the proper dimensions. She's way too short and missing a middle section.

After the cut, comes adding the section and designing in some mods for strength. I may have the roof removable or I may not?

I also have to decide if the underneath detailing is correct and where to cut the frame. There seems to be a difference in models where the tank placement can be towards the front or rear? I may add a new fuel tank for speaker mounting. I'll have to pick an exact prototype road # to model.

WOW!!!!  Nice so far Joe.  I was at the E C L S T S (the first all scale show they had) a few years ago or so and 1 of the dealers had some of these models in the Amtrak Superliner engine and cars.  They looked pretty nice but were like they were in miniature.  They looked like BEEPS.  LOL   How do they measure up as far as height against other G scale models?  Would they be more like 1:32 or 1:29 scale?  Keep up the good work and keep us posted.

Rick
