Hi Friends:
Just opened a Railking starter set with a p3 SD70Ace engine. It is not responding to the included command remote (that comes with set) but does respond to being hooked up to an MTH transformer.
I know the command control works because I can run all my other MTH 2 and 3 engines on it.
Would you guess this engine needs a factory re-set?

Try this,
With engine on track, power applied, push the "SND" button, then the "DIR" button, then the "-" minus sign on the bottom of the rocker arm. The engine should give you two horn blasts and start up. This feature was added to PS3 recently to factory reset engines without using the full DCS system. Good luck.
