If anyone owns one (or has knowledge of one) ... is it possible to easily replace the Fastrack with another track system?  In my case, I would prefer Atlas O in place of  the Fastrack for overall layout consistency.

Yep.  I could call Lionel but first-hand knowledge of the bridge from a member of this group would be most helpful.  Thanks.

The rail on the base of the bridge is an integral part of the base...but it’s not just like Fastrack which is grey.  It’s brown but the rails are like Fastrack rails. What are the actual Atlas rails like?

I don’t use it with the pedestals, I use it with the bridge rails dropped over the tubular end of Fastrack to tubular adapters.

I have that bridge. At York a year or so back I picked up that bridge because I really liked it but it has fast track on the deck. I stopped at the Lionel and asked them if the fast track could be removed. They said it could not.  I am using the bridge as is with the bridge abutments plus I added a girder bridge to each end. Off of them I bought transition pins to go from the fast track to Gar Graves track. Paul

I also had to remove the cross braces for some engines and cars to get thru needing 7 inches of clearance. I carefully cut the bottom X off the four braces and replaced them. Looks okIMG_1290 and doesn't knock the stack off and tall steamers.

I think the ends were removable on mine.   Had to put one on as part of the packaging had to be inside the bridge?  I really like it though!  May just buy another one!

Yes the ends come off but I wanted some remaining cross brace there for the look of it. There are two braces in the middle also...they are harder to get off and put back, but I managed and it looks good.

When Lionel did a video of the bridge, the question came up about the somewhat low height clearance, but it was sort of brushed off as a non problem.
