has any one ever had a fastrack pin snap in half?? i just had it happen to me and was wondering if any one else has had this problem? also any ideas where i can buy some extra pins so i can have them on hand??

I have never seen any pins for sale for fastrack.
You may be able to check for parts on the Lionel website.
Was it an outer pin or inner?
The outer pins seem really robust and difficult to break.
Never seen one break either. It would probably be easier to just toss the piece and put in a new one.

You can't buy new pins for fastrack. Just replace it or still under warranty call lionel get an RA number. I had my 048 turns in fastrack center pin broke off got replacements from lionel. I haven't had anymore break.
I have broken one due to excessive force, not really the track's fault. I just keep a couple of old pieces that have a lot of paint and a little rust on them around, they're good to salvage pins from if you need them.
