Hope you all are having, or had, a wonderful Father's Day.

Please share any model train-related events you may have enjoyed today or on any prior Father's Day, either with your family, friends, or by yourself.

These Father's Day model train-related events may have actually occurred today or may be fond memories that occurred on prior Father's Days. Of course, videos, photos and/or comments are all most welcome.

After some of you folks have chimed in, then I will share my experience today. Arnold

My son and I go to numerous professional sporting events in Philadelphia (though obviously not this year).  We have to pass the exit to Nicholas Smith trains on the way.  My son is not into trains in the least bit. When we come to the exit I always joke "hey, let's stop at Nicholas Smith trains!" to which my son always responds with something smart like "how about we don't and say we did".

Yesterday he asked if we could take trip to the sports complex as we've been taking trips to give him practice driving on highways. Of course, I said sure.  This time when we were coming up on the exit for Nicholas Smith trains and I joked "hey, let's stop by Nicholas Smith trains" he gave his usual smart aleck reply but took the exit.  Apparently he had this planned all along and told me happy father's day and he had $100 to put towards any item I wished to purchase.  Almost had me in tears.

My day pretty much the same as Tinplate Art posted above, spent some quality time with the mrs. who made me a wonderful dinner. And heard from the kids scattered abroad in different states. Except I ran 0-gauge trains and had an overall great day to be sure.

Greg Houser, that's a wonderful story, almost had ME in tears!

Happy Fathers Day to all you Fathers, Grandfathers and Great Grandfathers out there.

Very moving story, Greg, thanks for sharing it.

Arnold! Yes happy Father’s Day again.

Much like you, I celebrated with my daughter and grand daughter, and my wife having a great lunch, and after some outdoor activities, planting a few Father’s Day plants in the garden, then  another nice dinner topped off with a pie. What a beautiful day!  Spoke to my son (NYC) for an hour too. When it was all over and the nightfall arrived, I went into the basement and ran my NH postwar Electric and my favorite tank car unit train. Loops galore! No derailments! I felt quite Like a King!

hope all forum members had good times.
