Favorite Caboose, let’s see ‘em

Here are some more of my favorite cabeese.  Actually I've never seen a caboose that I didn't like ... lol!

I picked up this MTH Pennsy caboose from a member selling  in the Blue Hall at York for $15.00

This is a RMT caboose.   It's a smoking caboose.

Another favorite is this Westinghouse crew car used with a Schnabel car. The crew car is K-Line:

And the Schnabel car is MTH:

Note that both have now been two-railed.

I had several junker SP style cabooses and a couple Santa Fe locomotives so a second Santa Fe caboose was desired.  Also I had only a couple Red Cabooses so a bright red one was in order.  A light pickup was added to the new Santa Fe Red Caboose and I had some Santa Fe decals on hand.

Windows are milk jugs panes and wooded tool boxes are glued with E6000 cement, that will stick to anything.

Another colorful repainted caboose hits the tracks.

Here's perhaps everybody's favorite postwar caboose.

This is a fun thread!  My favorite caboose is the short bay window that MoPac made in their shops.  I kitbashed two of them from Atlas O cabooses.  Here's one of them bringing up the rear of the office layout local.

That was 12/24/20, since then I’ve been promoted to engineer full time but that caboose is used mon-fri out of one of our yards, essentially a shoving platform with a roof.

Here is the Lionel 1682 caboose, made between 1933 and 1942 both in red and in Tuscan.

A Hafner "streamliner" version from the 1950's

Finally from our UK allies, what they call a "brake van" we would call a caboose.  This one also from the 1950's is a post nationalization version in LMS colors.
