I finally got the coal ramp, log loader, beacon, light tower, milk car and uncoupling/unloading tracks and oil well hooked up and running.
Last thing will be to hook up my TIU and run some trains.

Looks good. I can see hours of running and switching happening, also leaning back and enjoying the soothing sound of trains running. Keep us posted and if possible, make a video. Again, looks good, I like.
That's great, Larry! As Josef said, looks like you will be quite busy operating trains!
Good for you, Larry. Love those operating accessories.
Do you have a side-dump coal car; e.g. PW 3469--for the 397 coal loader?
And thanks for the photos.
The Coal Ramp, one of my favorite accessories. Nice job.
Nice! You'll be finding coal chunks everywhere within a 50' radius in no time, Larry .

Thanks everyone for the kind remarks. And Pingman, yes I bought a Lionel side dump repro 3459 side dump coal car.
Larry,
Real nice stuff, as Brian says the coal ramp is one of my favorite accessories also!

I got a coal ramp recently, but it won't fit the layout I'm building, unfortunately. Really a neat accessory.
Yes it does need at least a full 3 feet in length.
I had one of these and the coal loader years ago (about 62 yrs ago to be exact).
That's why I got one now. I remember back then it and the coal loader were a real BEAR to keep running properly. I also had the horse corral then too but it never seemed to want to run good every time I tried it.
The coal ramp/conveyor combo is one of the biggest hits at my annual Family Train Party! Instead of coal I use Nerds candy and the ONLY way that the kids are allowed to enjoy the Nerds is to dump it from the ramp into the conveyor, activate the conveyor, and catch the candy in provided bowls.
Great fun. Enjoy.

This is a really cool idea, might try something like that under the Christmas tree this year.
Walt. I love these accessories and I like your candy idea.
Thanks

If you use M&Ms, I just may come up to help eat them, before they make it into the cars.
Josef - you are welcome anytime, along with anyone else.
Thanks all for the kind comments on this very plain layout.
It reminds me of my first layout on a 4 X 8 sheet of Beaverboard right on the basement floor. That would have been around 1947 or 48. My uncle Lou came up from Long Beach, Calif after being bombed out in Pearl Harbor in 1941. He bought me an O Gauge set at the Lionel Dealer, Couves Radio in Edmonton, Ab It had an atomic motored 726. I can't remember what else came with it though.

I tried various candies, including M&Ms, settling on Nerds because it was the only one that was properly sized so that it worked well on the conveyor.

really nice accessory, you should consider sprinkling some coal around the base
