Our company was getting rid of some frames so I snagged one for this catalog signed by Neil Young that I got in York years ago.  Right now it will go in the living room but once the room is painted downstairs will reside there.  I have Richard Maddox and Mike Wolf as well but did this one first.

What unique things do you have hanging on the walls.

I turned a "junk drawer" and all its contents into a wall display by securing a plexiglass cover to the top of the drawer with decorative corners.  The little plastic railroad cars were said to be Rob's first train.  Sorta' reminds me of one of those  I Spy  books.  It hangs on the wall upstairs behind my desk.

I have Neil Young and Richard Kughn's autographs on their respective CTT covers.IMG-1196

Also, I have been fortunate to have my layout covered in both OGR and CTT magazines as well as videos from both OGR and TM Books and Videos. I had the magazine stories framed and hung by the video cases that my layout appeared in. The OGR magazines in the rack have the autographs of Rich Melvin and Jim Barrett from their video shoot visit.

As I noted to my wife the other day, who said I didn't need any more train related items, that she has it good compared to other wives whose husbands have vices that are much more expensive.   At least you can see where the money went and not into such vices as gambling, drinking and frolicing with the ladies.

I'm certain you can well imagine the look I got.

NJCJOE has a great collection of railroad memorabilia which I'm certain many would like to duplicate to some extent.  More power to him for being able to do it his way!

Now not only showing off but piling on.  LOL!  Next he'll show us the outside and really beat us down.  LOL!

LOL!!! Just enjoy sharing. Most of that stuff is still packed away until the new basement is finished, but we're making progress. I do have some stuff out at the basement stairs.

Not exactly RR memorabilia, more of a layout memorabilia.  These are wall hanging remnants of a dear friend who is no longer with us:

This Link is one he said reminded him of my wife and me.

This was a Dallee diode matrix I fabricated for his passenger yard.

This was one of several lift outs, too pretty just to throw it out.  They actually threw out  a 32" indexed TT.

Lots of memories..........

Plus dozens of Peter Lorre water colors and a few oils.

My basement walls are also home to loads of pop culture items, including concert posters from the 70’s, and loads of shelving for trains and models. I was told the Blue Comet poster is original, but I have never removed it from the frame. Original or not, I love the way it looks. The Lionel ad at the bottom is original.

Some great stuff.  Interestingly enough, lately when at meets and shows I tend to look more closely at things for the wall and display than more trains.  Along with movie posters the train items are what I like to have around.  Here is one other thing I got a frame for from the work purge.  I have, as seen above the new poster, The Polar Express for IMAX that I bought from a forum member.
