Good idea, the announcement track works, but difficult to here it over trains running on other tracks. You can record 3, 15 second announcements, and the trolley will stop and play each in succession,as it reverses or erase them all and it will not stop. The speaker is built into the fastrack, I suppose you could put a speaker into a station and wire it from the track,and perhaps get better results,or wire it to an amp. If you have a large layout you can buy more announcement tracks for each station you might have. I was screaming into the microphone, so it won't get much louder than that. The power pack connects into a speed controller, that does not seem to control all that well. That's my review for what it's worth. This is for carpet central.
