Men's room. Then the Orange Hall to get my MTH catalogs and go on from there.
Men's room, followed by probably a quick run through orange (mainly for catalogs to see what is coming out), followed by the collector halls to look for stuff that has already been made.
Of course, I walk for about 9 hours so that I see almost everything.
Vince's is a good spot to start!

Probably the Blue Hall Thursday at noon. then the silver, red, white & finally the Orange hall. Then back through all the halls again. Thats all before Friday.
Orange Hall straight to Lionel, actually I usually enter the hall through the door by Lionel so its only abut a 20 ft walk.
As far as halls go...Orange first, Brown second, Purple third and then no particular order.
This year I gotta hit Len's Trains in Orange hall. I have G scale Gargraves track ordered from him.
Then maybe look for MTH Proto 3 engine to run on 2 rail.

A diecast car dealer in the Orange Hall...but since I can't get to this Meet until Friday, it dosen't matter. It's either hit him first thing Thurs., or forget getting a great find like I have in the past.
I hit the Red Hall first, followed by Orange, Brown, Purple, Black (if there is a layout there), White, Silver and Blue. After that, I sometimes pay repeat visits to many of the halls. On Friday, I hit them in this order: Orange, Brown, Purple, Black (if there is a layout there), Red, White, Silver and Blue. And again, will do repeat visits to many of the halls.
During an average York, I will walk between 10 and 20 miles. York is more than just a train meet - it is also great exercise! I've also noticed that York makes me stronger, kind of like Popeye after eating spinach, because at the end, I find it much easier to lift my wallet than when I started.

This will be only my 3rd visit to York, but I am surprised at how many people go to the Orange Hall 1st. Then again I am like Angelina Jolie. I feel I must save abused trains from the Member Halls. I will hit the white or silver hall 1st and the Orange hall last. Everything in between.
I think that a lot of people head to the Orange Hall first to see the manufacturers' booths to see what's new, and others to get to their favorite dealers so as not to miss any bargains. Desirable items at good prices disappear fast at York.
I head to the Red Hall because there is a guy there who usually has stuff I want that I know from past experience will be gone a few hours into the meet.
I like to hit Orange Hall a little later, after the initial rush of madness, so that I can actually see things and talk to people at a more reasonable pace.

One slice of scrapple should make up for those calories expended, but just in case you are worried about it grab a pumpkin funnel cake outside the Silver hall and you will be good.
I only do scrapple when I'm in a rare masochistic mood (I'm more of a bacon addict anyway), but the pumpkin funnel cake is almost a given... I wonder if they have bacon bits to sprinkle on the funnel cakes? Dang, now I'm hungry...

Vince's Trains, even before he let me help out
