Neat poster! Interesting combination of 1940s and art deco.

Actually, there really was a "Flying Diesel Corps". The name was applied to the crew of a NYO&W FT following a derailment in 1955 in Hamilton, NY. The incident is nicely related in The New York Ontario and Western in Color by Paul Lubliner. A gold painted model of an F unit was presented to each member of the crew, along with a written admonition not to try it again! One model is currently in the Chenango County Historical Society Museum in Norwich, NY.
