Flying Yankee/ Electric Norman contact

Still hoping to hear if anyone has a suggestion for finding the sliding shoe type pickups for the Lionel Flying Yankee

Wow. Getting desperate now. Hennings does not have them either. Any other ideas??

This might be a long shot, but it never hurts to ask: look at ETS Trains or Darstaed. I know they use sliding shoe pickups for their 3-rail equipment, maybe it could be compatible with Lionel's?
Shoot them an email and see if they have some spares for sale

I still need at least one more. I will continue making calls.

Struck out. None of the suggested resources has the sliding show pick ups.

Have you tried  "wanted to buy" on this forum, or ebay? Looks like to me it would not be too hard to make your own, untill you can locate an ori. part.

I've been talking to a friend about maybe making something. Any ideas for that would be great. I am not restoring this to original. I just want to run it a bit

If the center rivet and spring are present you could cut a piece of brass sheet. Just notch it around center rivet, so rivet does not have to be removed. Get assorted 4"x6" or so brass sheets, maybe .010 to .018? Just have to guess/experament what works. If rivet spring is missing call Jeff@TT for help to match up something close, and thread it on rivet. If rivet is also missing Jeff also or Hennings[both are Great] Or just run a wire to bulb from the next car.
