The long neglected American Flyer section has been updated on Lionel's shipping schedule for any who are interested. There are still blank spots next to the Berk sets and the new fastrack items. I find the quickest way to pull up all the AF items is to put "6-4" into the search box for the shipping schedule.

I feel your pain, Ben. Flionel's shipping schedule currently lists the '13 Flyer Christmas boxcar for Oct. shipment. If this can be believed, it means the car will be @ dealers by Nov. (Lionel's O gauge Christmas boxcar, BTW, is listed as shipping in Nov. Now THATS cutting it TOO close based its track record!) Nothing disappoints customers more (or makes dealers more angry) than having Christmas product arrive in Jan. & Feb. & Lionel has done just this several times in recent years. Given that this stuff is the ONLY time-sensative product Lionel must schedule for somewhat precise delivery, you would think that it is within the realm of its control if the people there tried hard enough. Christmas stuff should be cataloged MUCH earlier each year & shipped in time to be in stock dealers by September at the latest.
