Flyonel Union Pacific Northern problem

Have you checked to make sure the volume control is turned up? that is the first thing after checking on-off.

Thanks for the response, but the volume is turned up all the way. I guess the next step would be to remove the tender shell and check for broken connections or loose wires. I was just wondering if these locos had a history of issues? The loco is not command control but I am running it on TMCC conventional mode.  The horn and whistle do not work either?

At a risk of maybe raising a simple question, is a 9v battery installed in the tender? The RS for the Northerns works much better with a fresh battery on board.

I never put the battery in my Northern and the railsounds always worked fine but it could be individual engines are all a little different.

Placed new battery in the engine still no railsounds?  Any other suggestions?

Maybe headed to service center for repair.

Try reseating the Railsounds boards in the tender.

Also press on the two square chips on the sound board to seat them.
