what size hex wrench does it take to tighten lionel legacy flywheels? mine are part of a screw driver set and not long enough to do the job. who would carry that small of size also? would menards?

I use the Wiha socket set for my maintenance chores. I have both the metric and SAE set.

thanks john, only the hex bolt I need to get to is buried in a hole in the brass fly wheel. these look like they will not work. am I wrong? my flywheel came loose and just spins. its the one on the motor with the legacy tack reader.
Are you in need of an Allen wrench?
Yep, sounds like he needs an allen or spline wrench, not a nut driver.
thanks guys sorry for the late reply. yes john was right. I went to menards and found a metric set that had one the right size. the funny thing was the motor flywheels were not lose after all. it seems the coupling on the motor shaft was loose on both motors. I was working on a lionmaster challenger. why there was no flat spot on the motor shaft and on this part is beyond me. guess these couplings were pressed on at the factory. they came loose and so thats what was causing the gears not to engage when the motors were moving. causing me to think the flywheel with the encoder was loose. next is to buy new motors as the new motors have the couplings factory attatched. for now I reattached the couplings to the motor with super glue and the engines is working for now. would have used loctight but did not have any. at lest now I have the allen wrench if I ever need it.
