Very nice Donald, especially liked your weathering of the track. Hsd always wanted that set. A friend has one that I can enjoy. Quite realistic!

c.sam, there's a set of K-Line cars very similar to these on ebay right now, as well as extra cars. The only major difference is they are lettered for NYC. These cars seem to come up for sale more frequently than the Lionel cars.

Donald….I echo others comments on your layout and consist, very well done. This was the first time I’ve seen your layout. I just subscribed to your channel so I can see more. Thanks for posting!

Thank you, Rich. I appreciate the kind comments. If you subscribe to the magazine, my layout was featured in RUNS 313, 316 and 319. I have written articles in all the other subsequent issues.

Thanks everybody for all the kind words. And I would like to especially thank “Skip” for his pointing out my dyslexia. Where were you Skip during the editing process? 🙂🙂

Anyway, thanks again. I enjoyed making the video.

I thought the anniversary set was a 2023 freight set?

The set (# 6-31705) in the video is named the "50th Anniversary Commemorative Set," released in 2002.  It was a scale re-issue of the passenger set Lionel sold in 1950 (Lionel's 50th anniversary) that was made up of the 773 Hudson and 3 heavyweights named "Irvington" "Madison" and "Manhattan." Fortunately, the 2002 re-issue also included the "Sager Place" observation car that appeared in the Postwar catalogs but was never produced.

It's odd how names are assigned to sets. I had always heard the UP 1464W passenger set referred to as the "Anniversary Set."
