Truly sad about Frank, he was a good guy. I just sent him some parts for a repair, he may not have even gotten to use them.

Very sad. Rest in peace.
Condolences to Frank's family and friends.
I just spoke with him once, years ago over the phone, to order a puller after GunRunnerJohn recommended it to me. I remember he was such a nice man.
I also have one of his wheel pullers. He was very gracious to me with his follow up emails providing additional technical support regarding proper wheel spacing.
I was SHOCKED to hear about Frank in another thread. He was so helpful and accommodating. My sincerest condolences to the Timko family.
I remember Frank from a long time ago. He was a fine man and one of those "go to guys" in our hobby. He certainly will be missed! Seems like we are loosing too many too quickly

Mr. Timko remotored my Lionel Warhorse Santa Fe Hudson many years ago, and turned it into an unstoppable puller. I’m sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to his family.
He was a ficture of some Midwest shows, but l had missed him at his booth in recent ones. Sorry to hear this.. lost people, lost skills..good guys don't live long enough .. hope health science advances so we all can.
Very sad hearing this. Frank got me started with motor conversions to my engines many years ago. RIP my friend.
My sincere condolences to Frank Timko's family and all those who mourn him. While his death was apparently sudden and unexpected and a loss for his family, all who knew him, and his communities—including ours—what a full life well-lived! That is cause for celebration. (Read his obituary, if you haven't already.)
The next time I run my Williams GN GP9, which I fixed with the help of Frank Timko, I'll do so in his honor, and smile in his memory.
Frank was one of our clubs most used suppliers, We run a fleet of Williams locomotives on public tracks and he rebuilt our trucks with new motors. He truly will be missed.
Frank was one of the few retailers who shipped his product and let you pay after receipt of it. We often offered to pay upfront and he said no, once you get it.
Personally, I have one of his wheel pullers and Frank helped me remotor and upgrade ALL 9 of my Lionel F3 locomotives with can motors and custom flywheels to fit the lower roof line. He would be very pleasant on the phone, and always gracious. He was an Icon of this hobby and community.
His life most definitely needs celebrated.
RIP Frank!
This is terribly sad news!
Anyone know what they are doing with locomotives Frank was working on? He’s had my Commodore Vanderbilt for upgrades since last November. I’m hoping this engine isn’t lost!
